Heather is a Registered Dietitian, Certified Nutritionist, and Certified Diabetes Care Education Specialist. She graduated from LIU Post, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Nutrition, followed by completing a competitive Dietetic Internship. She has a diverse professional background and has worked for several well-known Hospitals including: Mount Sinai Hospital, St. Francis Hospital, NYU Winthrop Hospital, as well as Northwell Hospital. In her past employment, Heather worked for a specialized out-patient program through Mount Sinai Hospital that focused on helping high risk patients with Diabetes, Cardiovascular Disease and Obesity. In addition to that, she also created the Diabetes Educational program for 16 offices of The Queens Long Island Medical Group.
Heather provides evidence based medical nutrition therapy to improve the health of patients with various medical conditions including Diabetes, Pre Diabetes, Weight Concerns, Cardiovascular Conditions, Hyperlipidemia, Hypertension, Pre-Op/Post-Op Bariatric Surgery, PCOS, Gastrointestinal Disorders, GERD, Fatty Liver, and general health related concerns. Heather is passionate about helping others feel better and live healthier lives. She takes an intuitive eating approach with her clients. She enjoys keeping up to date with current nutrition research and helps patients apply this information into a realistic, simple approach to everyday life.
